As indicated in the Formal Definition of SMS, I haven’t found any public sources where I can readily obtain values for I, XD, XT and XI. As of March 2002, the Retrosheet Web Page provides such data through 1990, but I know of no source for more recent data. If you know of such a source, please send me email at mskarpelos@hotmail.com. Also, since ballparks heavily influence SMS-related data (especially triples), I would like to develop a ballpark-normalized version of SMS. To do this, however, I need to have the SMS-related data broken down by ballpark. The Retrosheet Web Page provides such data, but, again, only through 1990. If you know how to obtain more recent data, please send me email. Thanks. |
